The Last Minute Shopper The Last Minute Shopper

Rated 5 / 5 stars December 10, 2008

Brilliant!

I love it. The idea was brand new and that to me is all the plusses in the world! Honestly, I'm sick of Xmas cliches and this one just broke that trend. Awesome! The art, by the way, is something else! I love the crumpled paper background that white cutouts for the people makes it look so dramtic and the sound and music is also brilliant!
5/5 man... You deserve it!

Willy Wonka harsh reality Willy Wonka harsh reality

Deeply Disturbing

This is by far one of the creepiest videos I've ever seen in my life. The art style and the whistling... Oh the whistling... I think I felt my hear stop when it showed Charlie's face for the first time. Okay, in terms of constructive criticism, I don't have much to say. I don't really know what the point of the video was. I guess you could improve the animation a little, esp. for the shop keeper. At times, he'd go silent and I'd think the video is broken or it's simply short, but then he'd begin talking again. Otherwise, all I can say is I didn't really like it and it's very, very creepy.

SomecallmeDave responds:

I posted in the info that in one part he pauses for too long but the rest is normal. This video was supposed to make charlie look like he was oblivious to the world around him. The whistling was supposed to be the music, but it turned out that Charlie only thought that was how it sounded, but he was making the whistleing himself. The slugworth part was just funny and weird. Grandpa joe shouldn't have been able to walk from being in bed for so many years. Just summing it up for ya.

Excellent stuff

The animation is brilliant. I just fell in love with the expressions and you did a really good job of portraying David Blaine. I dunno if you meant to it, but there's some weird spelling in the subtitles. I loved and I hope to see more stuff from you.

Jelly Towers Jelly Towers

Rated 2 / 5 stars November 29, 2008

Too annoying!

Look, the graphics are great. The physics engine is a hell hole! When you wanna build towers, everything always crumbles WAAAAAY too easily. The thing is, the idea is there and it seems brilliant, but building jelly towers is nearly impossible at times. The sacred fog... I don't even now if that's a game mechanic because all I found it capable of doing is annoying me half to death and I don't mean that like "Oh no! This is so hard, I have to try and beat it!", no, I mean "OH F'ING HELL!!!". To tell you the truth, once I got to the tutorial level with the fog I simply quit. All these feelings are from the fog and the other levels where when something topples, it just WHOOP and down, not like it should in my mind, just like it should if it's meant to be annoying. Really, the only problem with your game is the physics engine. The idea is great, the graphics and the theme are reminiscent of Patapon which is brilliant. Fix your physics engine and update the game and watch your rating go from a 3.22 -> 4.00+.

Extraterrestrial Combat Extraterrestrial Combat

Rated 1 / 5 stars November 24, 2008

Terrible.

I'm afraid I'm to have to give this game a severely bad rating. For starters, the enemies appear randomly when the game first begins resulting in an instant death the first time you try playing which is an instant put off. Second, the enemies movearound with absolutely no intent or pattern what so ever. The thing in other, more classic arcade shooters was memorising patterns, waiting for them to happen and apply the knowledge you acquired so that you can go through with the game. Killing enemies just makes another respawn in its place instantly which is a totally random event and again just makes the difficulty too hard even on Easy. The animation is plain, boring, and definitely needs work. Shooting and moving was difficult because of the nature of the enemies.
Overall, I didn't like this game in anyway, at all. I do not recommend this to be played by anyone, fan of shooters or not. I will however tell you that by the looks of the game, you do have some skill in Flash. Hone them, apply them properly, fix the programming errors in the enemies and if you aren't that good at drawing yourself, hire or ask someone else. The talent is there, the game is not. I'd recommend that you look at other games and learn a few things from them, then you'll most definitely be able to get it. I wish you do something better next time.

Doom Triple Pack Doom Triple Pack

Rated 5 / 5 stars November 23, 2008

This is incredible!

Now I hate Doom. I just Do, and I know this is gonna get me owned, but I just can't stand the controls or the graphics. The reason I gave this both a 10 and a 5/5 is because of the fact that you were able to replicate the entire game into flash. That is truly something that deserves credit! As a judge of Flash, it is not my place to downgrade because of dislike, I'm criticizing the Flash game by it's values and this here. This is just ... Well... $10 worth of value put into a flash game for free. Any Doom fan owes you $10.
Good Work!

~'{Water Aura}'~ ~'{Water Aura}'~

Rated 4 / 5 stars November 18, 2008

It gets messy...

It started off too slow, then at 1:14 it gets into that nice little glassy sounding bit, but at 1:25, it goes ballistic and I dunno if it fit in with the rest of the song well. I honestly found your song: Fire Aura 1000x better. This was good, but it just got a little messy.
